| Paradise Island, The Bahamas | Todd + Maria's wedding was one for the ages! 150 of their friends and family made the trip to The Bahamas to celebrate with them. They kicked off the festivities with live music at Greycliff courtesy of Gianni Russo. The party continued at Atlantis' Hall of Waters where they danced the night away, surrounded by the worlds largest aquarium. Their vows were shared in front of the French Cloisters, the centerpiece of the Gardens of Versailles at The Ocean Club on Paradise Island. Finally Jesse's Girls rocked the house in an elaborate air-conditioned tent setup in the garden for their reception. We LOVED how tucked away it was for this intimate destination wedding. 2. The full Bahamian Gospel Choir during the ceremony. 3. One of the most unique getaway cars we have ever seen at a wedding, and we loved the shot of them driving next to us down the road. 4. We loved how the officiant kept forgetting Benner’s name and saying "Brother Brenner" instead. Hearing the entire crowd shout "Benner" was hilarious. 5. Oh! and have you ever seen a traditional Bahamian dance called the “Junkanoo”?! Well, it made for one epic send off from the reception. Showers of blessings came down during the ceremony but it did not dampen this couple one bit. The priest figured "Hey we're New Yorkers. What's a little rain". You can even see a few drops on my camera lens during the ceremony. We were all holding umbrellas at that point but the footage still came out great. The rest of the day went super smoothly and the bride and groom had great attitudes and it was a pleasure working with them. A big congrats to the happy couple! What a good looking wedding party. The room the bride got ready in was extra spacious and made it easy to capture great footage. One memory of this wedding that stands out to me was during the reception party. Nobody knew how to do "the wobble" but I remembered that my assistant Fabian was an expert wobbler so I gave him the signal and he jumped right in and saved the day. They had a blast! Tropical weather, set on a white sandy beach, beautiful flowers, loving family & friends, an amazing bride and groom and a crazy dance party. It's not easy to make friends with locals when visiting a foreign country. Yet somehow this couple befriended just about everyone they met here in The Bahamas. All while celebrating their marriage with a magnificent wedding. Each of them had huge hearts and were incredibly kind and polite towards every person they interacted with. I'm glad to be able to now call them friends. They are truly remarkable people, but I think their loving family & friends do a far better job of explaining it than I ever could. It is easy to make a highlight video when the bridal party breaks out into dancing at every opportunity! This was a fun wedding to shoot and we covered a lot in such a short time. The wind was blowing this day but good planning prevented any hiccups. The chapel was a perfect spot for the ceremony and was even set with pews! The reception had the beautiful aquarium back drop which I allows love to use in the video. The bride had 5 pastor uncles to choose from to conduct the ceremony. For Meghan and Andrew's destination wedding, we traveled to the One and Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas. From the moment we pulled up to the resort, we knew this was going to be one of the most beautiful settings we have ever had the pleasure of shooting. To follow suite, Meghan and Andrew are such a lovely couple, both inside and out and they were so gracious to bring us to the Bahamas to celebrate their special day. Meghan and Andrew created a lovely weekend for their guests with a "Count of Monte Cristo" themed wedding. Their ceremony was full of deep spirituality and meaningful moments and those special moments carried into the reception. We loved all of the wonderful sound bytes that we were able to use in the film from all of the articulate speakers that were part of the weekend! It's no surprise that there were so many kind things said about such a wonderful couple! The only thing that made the wedding weekend even more incredible was that we had the pleasure of shooting alongside our friend and talented photographer, Justin Demutiis!! Enjoy!
